My Book Festival
Texas Grandma gave me this book for Christmas. I get really fascinated with it when I haven’t seen it for awhile.
The last time Mommy got the book out and read it to me sitting in her lap, I got really into it. You can see the look of concentration in my face.
Later, I thought I could handle it myself. Daddy took these photos of me playing with it on the floor.
When Mommy or Daddy read me a real book, I usually start crying or fussing half way through. They can’t figure out why, and I’m not telling. But this book is just right – part book, but mostly toy.
Grab Fest
Just call me Grabbie McGrab. A few weeks ago my hand swatting turned to grabbing. Now I can grab most anything dangled in front me. I even grab my own hands. If you have anything that needs a drool bath, just stop by. I’m your gal. Now changing diapers is even more fun. I can grab anything on the changing station! Including dirty diapers!
Grump Fest
Things aren’t all peaches and cream here (not that I’d know what they taste like).
I am a high needs, high maintenance baby. Some days I don’t let anyone do anything but soothertain me (aka sooth/entertain me) – purposely restricting my naps to mere minutes, maximizing parent-child contact ratios.
It’s the nurses and doctors that tell my parents I’m "highly sensitive" or "highly alert" – my parents have no frame of reference having lived baby-free lives for so many years.
Good thing I’m cute!
