This is my Mommy’s friend Rani from Texas. They used to be workmates and neighbors in the previous Millennium.
Go jump in a lake
Texas Grandma and Grandpa have a lake house. They also have a boat and a dock. The big people had fun there. I mostly watched and played in my own little tub. I did get in the water but i didn’t like it or my life jacket.
Mia and me
This is my gal pal, Mia. She and I are old friends. I’ve known her since the week I was born! We played together in Texas at Texas Grandma’s house in Manor (pronounced May-ner). Mia pushed me around in my walker, we had fun like that. Mia also likes to play soccer, but I need to figure out how to walk before I can join her in a friendly match.
Mia is great inspiration. She can play the flute and run at the same time! I think she’s going to become some sort of musician. Or performance artist.

I had fun in the hot tub at Texas Grandma’s house. Daddy didn’t want to wait for Mommy to get me in a bathing suit and swimming diaper, so he let me join in naked. Babies can do that sort of stuff. Being naked is really relaxing, I took a poo and no one noticed until they got out and Uncle Greg stepped in something squishy on the bottom. Daddy drained the whole hot tub, cleaned it, and re-filled it for the next day.

Memorial Day 2008
Memorial Day is Watermelon Day. Uncle Jon and Auntie Karen came over for Memorial Day. So did our friends Jeff and Mary. Daddy let me suck on watermelon rind.
Shawna comes to visit
My mommy’s friend Shawna came to visit me for the first time. They’ve known each other for 15 years — they must be really old! She’s a librarian but she used to be a reporter and worked with my mommy a long time ago.
Texas grandparents come to visit
I got to see my Texas grandparents for the fourth time since I was born! My parents say that Texas grandparents only visited them twice in seven years before. I guess they like me!
Auntie Karen comes to babysit
My auntie Karen stopped by with my Uncle Jon to play with me while my parents cleaned up the house. I had fun. I wish she’d come visit more often!
