I am 9 months old (and 2 days) today!
On August 6, I celebrated my 9-month-old birthday. But I didn’t get any cupcakes or fun stuff. My mommy took the day off though and hung out with me all day because my Ah-Ma and Kong Kong had to visit their own doctor.
I kept telling mommy to update the blog but she wanted to wait until after my 9-month doctor visit two days later. So here I am, all 9 months of me!
What I can do now:
- Eat Cheerios and other small pieces of squishy food.
- Crawl (no more skootching!)
- Climb up stairs, with help from daddy.
- Bang two toys together.
- Read books (well, not really, but I like flipping through the pages)
- Pull myself up in the crib or next to the couch.
- Sit up on my own after crawling.
- Squeal really loud. And often.
My official stats are in and I’m still a skinny, long baby with a big head. Technically, I am 29 1/4 inches (95th percentile); weigh 17 pounds, 13 ounces (35th percentile) ; and my head is 46.25 centimeters (95th percentile). So, I’ve pretty much stayed above the 90th percentile for length and head size, but my weight keeps dropping. I’m not sure why because I eat a lot. My Ah-Ma says it’s because I’m so active.
My 9-month doctor visit:
Dining out with the Fam!
I’m a much better dinner guest these days. Ah-ma and Kong Kong like to eat at Chinese restaurants. Sometimes Uncle Jon and Auntie Karen join us. Auntie Karen feeds me sometimes. Uncle Jon watches. I can sit in the highchair without too much drama most of the time. I can even eat people food, when they let me.
Laundry time!
I helped Daddy get the clothes out of the dryer. I have to help because if he leaves me alone in the playpen I scream and yell and cry. Now he knows to take me with him all the time.
