Memorial Day 2008

May 26th, 2008

Memorial Day is Watermelon Day. Uncle Jon and Auntie Karen came over for Memorial Day. So did our friends Jeff and Mary. Daddy let me suck on watermelon rind.

Brusha, brusha, brusha

May 24th, 2008

I prefer to hold the toothbrush or eat it.I have two teeth and more are coming in daily. I’m supposed to brush my teeth, but it’s hard for my wittle hands to hold the toothbrush.

10 minutes in the crib

May 20th, 2008

My crib isn’t so bad anymore — just as long as my parents don’t make me sleep in it (my daddy teared up after seeing this video because he was struck at how fast time goes by).

My new Malaysian sun dress

May 18th, 2008

Ama and Kong Kong just got back from Malaysia and brought me a whole bunch of clothes. This one is made of batik material, which is a fine art in Malaysia. Don’t I look cute?

I was strolling to the park one day in the very merry month of May

May 17th, 2008

I now go to the park on a regular stroll. Sometimes, they let play with the park rides. I like the swing but only when there’s someone swinging with me. Today, I met Kaya. She’s almost 2. She kept looking at me funny and saying, ‘baby.’  But the big news of today’s trip: I got to play in the sand!

Laundry Fest: I help daddy with chores

May 16th, 2008

Daddy takes care of me when Ama and Kong Kong aren’t here. I do what I can to help out, like help with the laundry.

Tales from the crib

May 14th, 2008

Mommy caught me trying to climb out of my play yard so daddy lowered it. I really hate it now!

Happy Mother’s Day!

May 11th, 2008

I made sure mommy felt like a mother today and made her feed me, clean me, dress me, comfort me, walk me, you name it. We also talked to Texas Grandma and later went to pick up my ama from the airport. She recognized me right away even though I’m much bigger now.

Shawna comes to visit

May 10th, 2008

My mommy’s friend Shawna came to visit me for the first time. They’ve known each other for 15 years — they must be really old! She’s a librarian but she used to be a reporter and worked with my mommy a long time ago.

Peas? Puh-lease! How about some real food?

May 7th, 2008

Now that my doctor says I can eat some real food, well, stage one food, my parents decided to feed me some sweet peas. Ewww yuck! But it’s still food so, ya, I ate it up.

And then there’s the video:
