I am 4 months old today!

March 6th, 2008

Boy, time is moving soooo sloooooow…  It’s been four months since I dropped into this world and it’s still just eat, sleep, poop, you know the drill.  I haven’t even been to Disneyland! But mommy and daddy continue to act surprised at anything I do and are shocked that IT’S BEEN FOUR MONTHS!

I went to see my doctor yesterday and got 5 (!!) painful vaccination shots. But it happened so quickly (all five in under 30 seconds) that I forgot about them as soon as I left the doctor’s office. I was sad though, and mommy and daddy felt sorry for me so someone held me for the rest of the day. My parents are grateful that Texas grandma and grandpa were there to lend some arm muscle.

So, I guess all my fans will be interested to know what has mommy and daddy so excited.

Here are my new stats:

Weight
14 pounds, 8 ounces (75th percentile)

Length
25 1/4  inches (80th percentile)

Head circumference
43 centimeters (90th percentile)

Some new things I do:

I like to type on my daddy’s keyboard so much that he gave me my very own (although no computer attached — boo!)

I grab toys with both hands. In the past, this really upset me because my hands did not do what I told them to do. Now, I not only grab the same toy with two hands, I can grab my pacifier and take it out of my mouth. Putting it back in is another story though (Watch the VIDEO).

I like to drink from mommy’s water bottle. She only gives me a few drops at a time though. Finally she just gave me my own little baby bottle. Most of the water spills out on my shirt — I guess I just get too excited.

I can feed myself. Sort of. I can grab my bottle with both hands but sometimes milk doesn’t come out. Daddy says it’s because I’m not holding the bottle up high enough.

My feet are really sweaty. This really isn’t new but Mommy and Daddy didn’t notice before because they always forced me to wear socks. Now, they let me run free in my bare feet, which leaves pools of sweat everywhere I stand. The doctor says it’s hereditary and my mommy says ‘Don’t look at me!" My doctor says I’m really going to hate my daddy when I’m a teenager for giving me sweaty feet.

My first tooth is coming in. Mommy says "Ouch!"
