Infant potty training

November 29th, 2007

Here I am at three-weeks old in my birthday suit. My daddy changes my diapers. He read about how kindergartens around the country are having to send some new students home on the first day of class because they are still in diapers.

He researched potty training on Amazon and found out about how other non-Western cultures potty train infants. He bought a book and has been making funny noises and holds me over this bucket when I make a poopsie or pee. I think it’s a funny game, I laugh and babble while on the changing table and often trick him into thinking I’m going to  pee or poo. He has to just stand there holding me for nothing! But occasionally I do give in and poo or pee for him. He gets really excited. (Me too! I look forward to getting my diaper changed.)

My Auntie Karen said my poo looks like Chinese/Thai Peanut Sauce you get at the restaurant. But obviously Mommy does not, cause she washes it away as soon as I make it for her. And don’t worry Daddy doesn’t play this game when I’m upset or crying.

Me at 3 weeks old!

I guess daddy got the idea after this:

Eating out for the first time

November 29th, 2007

I was a good girl today — just ask my parents. We got to stop by Polly’s to eat a late lunch. All the other customers ooohhed and ahhhed at me. And I only cried once, maybe twice. It was my first time outside, other than going out to see my doctor. You can see Daddy hasn’t had a haircut since waaaaaay before I was born.
